If you have been following my business blog you will have by now started to build a clear picture of your ideal customer using customer profiling. You’ll also be planning scheduled social media updates in your editorial calendar.
But you’re using multiple platforms and have to log on to each to post the same status update.
There are a maximum number of 140 characters in a tweet - if you keep your Facebook status updates to this limit you can automate the process of tweeting by linking your business Facebook page to your business Twitter page.
In this blog I’m going to show you how in a few simple steps.
Log into your Facebook page, then open a new tab in your browser and log into your twitter page.
Click on the link https://www.facebook.com/twitter/
make sure that Facebook is connecting to the account that you intend to connect.
Choose the Facebook account you wish to link and click Link to Twitter.
If you have/manage multiple accounts make sure your are linking to the correct twitter account.
Click Authorise app.
you will see a confirmation screen and then be redirected to the Facebook administration page.
Here you can edit settings or unlink your Facebook and Twitter accounts.
As each status update will now automatically be Tweeted to your followers, all you need to do is check in on a daily basis and react to any comments from your customers.
Next time I’ll be looking at the need to keep personal and business social-media feed separate and on a professional basis .
That about wraps up linking social-media accounts. I hope that you find this blog both interesting and helpful. Over the coming weeks I’ll be building on this to include other topics. If you would like to comment on this blog visit our social-media pages and join the conversation.
